Hey Rockheads....well, here's the interview I conducted with the help of Rockheads Krystal & Katie at Crue Fest with James, Nikki & DJ from Sixx AM...I only wish we could have videotaped it so you could get the full effect of Nikki's text message marathon!

Scott Dowler of Mason was our lucky winner of a chance to interivew Phoenix from Linkin Park last week during Projekt Revolution...here's your shot to hear it- our Rockhead didn't disappoint- and a big thanks again to Phoenix! (if you hear music in the background that's Chris Cornell finishing up his set!)

OK, if you heard any of this morning's show, you'll know the Unprotected Sixx was a bit of a letdown...Basically to make a long story short, we were told that Nikki didn't want to do it, and I was told the interview would just be with DJ and James. (And nothing against those guys, we were just as excited to meet them, but the deal was with the WHOLE band). But a few phone calls later, and lo and behold we were heading back to meet DJ, James, AND Nikki. Right off I could tell he was not into it, and although he played along with most of the interview, it was almost annoying. First of all, he was texting on his cell phone pretty much the entire time we were talking with them, to the point where I tried to focus the majority of the questions to DJ and James. (Which didn't stop Nikki from interrupting my friend Krystal when she was asking DJ a question so that he could talk about his text message). Now Krystal, Katie (the Unprotected Sixx winner) and I all had brought ... Read More »

To Katie McKinney, the winner of our Unprotected Sixx with Sister Karen & Sixx AM!! She'll be joining me backstage tomorrow night at Crue Fest to hang out with Nikki, James & DJ! And thanks to all of you Rockheads that entered- I had a ton of entries, and narrowing it down to just one was tough!! Be sure to tune in Wednesday morning for all the glorious details!

Hey Rockheads...I'm just takin' a quick break from our Helluva Week to update my blog & say hello! I hope you've been able to make it out to the shows, and thanks to all of you who have stopped by either at the Tom Raper 40' Mobile Concert Cabin or our 96 Rock tent to say hi!! It's great to meet ya'll in person for a change! I know Julie, our Helluva Week winner, and her friend Stacie are having a FABULOUS time! (I know cuz I've pretty much been helping them celebrate the last few days!)

So what do you guys think so far? How was Kid Rock? What about Projekt Revolution? Did you go to Poison last night, or the after party? (Speaking of, if anyone went to the after party & met Bret, let me know how that went- we didn't see him :(

So far, Linkin Park has been the highlight for me. I like them, but I'm not a huge fan- but that was probably the best live show (or top 3 at least) that I have ever seen. But talk to me after Crue Fest, that might change! ... Read More »

To the guys in Saving Abel- Jared, Scott & Jason- for coming in to the studios yesterday for our first ever 96 Rock Kitchen Sink Concert Series! It was their warm-up for last night's show at Bogarts with Rev Theory & Puddle of Mudd....I wasn't able to make the show last night but Gamble & Fin were both there, and it sounds like I missed a lot- both on AND off the stage! Did you go? Did you have as good of a time as my "brothers" here at 96 Rock? Tell me your stories!

And as for the Saving Abel performance from yesterday, if you missed it, I will have it up either here on my blog or on the Angry Guys podcast page by tomorrow...I will keep you posted on that- and I will make sure Kuzin Vinny gets the fotos up as well so you can check 'em out!
